NN Text-To-Speech at Motorola: Papers and Audio Files

Dear Connectionists:

Motorola has been developing text-to-speech technology that utilizes
multiple cooperating neural networks, each specializing in a
particular area of human language ability. Papers that describe this
work are now available electronically at the LANL archive:

   1998:
   =====

Title : A High Quality Text-To-Speech System Composed of Multiple
             Neural Networks
Authors : Orhan Karaali, Gerald Corrigan, Noel Massey, Corey Miller,
             Otto Schnurr and Andrew Mackie

Due to requests, we have submitted excerpts of speech generated from
our text-to-speech system. These audio files demonstrate one female
voice and two male voices and are available at
http://xxx.lanl.gov/e-print/cs/9812006.tar.gz

Note: If your system does not support Windows WAV files, try a tool like
"sox" to translate the audio into a format of your choice.
